Notes on the Construction of Customs Inspection & Quarantine Laboratory:

1、In general, as the Customs Technical Center Laboratory and the office building are in the same building, the storey height, bay, depth and air shaft are basically inadequate, which lays a hidden danger for the following design and construction of the laboratory. Therefore, it is suggested that the new customs laboratory shall be designed and constructed according to the laboratory building and the building shall follow the professional technology.

2、New Requirements for PCR and Biological Virus Laboratory in the Novel Coronavirus Situation:


The reagent preparation room and sample processing room shall be under micro-positive pressure in order to prevent the air containing nucleic acid aerosol from entering and causing contamination. The positive pressure can be achieved by controlling the air volume of the air inlet to be greater than the exhaust air volume. The nucleic acid amplification room and the product analysis room shall be under micro-negative pressure in order to prevent the aerosol containing nucleic acid from coming out to pollute the reagent and sample. The negative pressure can be achieved by controlling the exhaust air volume to be greater than the inlet air volume. One-way experimental process flow, material flow, people flow and air flow between each area are required to form a protective barrier for the one-way process to avoid the interference between experiments and prevent the false results caused by the contamination of nucleic acid aerosol on the experimental process;
